Misfitt Toys
I can’t tell you how when browsing the world wide web I discovered Misfitt Toys, but I am glad I did. Fate, luck, karma, perhaps all of the above. In this day and age, I sometimes just want to hear some head banging tracks that also have words with meaning. I am so sick of the repetitive bullshit out there, and what some consider rock! Just when you think modern day rock music is a big butthole of the machine, you come across some Misfitt Toys to play with, and it makes everything better. Rock on mutha truckas.

Misfitt Toys Bio:
Misfitt Toys formed in October 2015 with the goals of getting back to roots of the hard rock heavy metal wave…… yet make it a new more modern version of that classic sound……….. powerful yet melodic with lyrics that have meaning and people can understand and relate we are seasoned veterans of the music business that joined together to bring this form of music back to the masses hopefully we have done that with the songs we have released here Rock on !!!!!
The Interview with David Lytle
What make you Officially Rock? Rock is more than just music it’s an attitude………an us against the world nobody is gonna tell us it cant be done type attitude. It is something we’ve always had
What drives you as a musician? The love of the music first and foremost. For me its my way to express how I feel and what I think, that otherwise I would just keep to myself
Who are your main influences? Can’t say there’s been any one influence, but have been influenced in some way by a number of different bands. Alot of the bands we grew up listening to, the hair metal bands. I would like to see that type of music return so I guess our music can be called receding hair metal
What is your songwriting process? Most of the time I will write the songs basics and bring it to the band and they put their own style to it that takes it to another level. JJ and Rich are both amazing guitarists with the same passion for music as me
What is your craziest road story? Well Misfitt Toys started as a recording project with Rich and I in my home studio and it kind of went from there when we decided to play some shows covid hit and put everything on hold. So we are now putting a set together to play some dates. Crazy road stories we all have plenty of them. The one that comes to mind for me is when a drunk indian hopped on our bus in Rapid City South Dakota and rode with us for a few blocks then got off at the next stoplight like we were public transit
What is your craziest road story? I haven’t been on the road but one time during a performance at the Viper Room, a guy in the audience started playing his saxophone. He was playing the Pink Panther theme song. He had been backstage before we got on, but I had no clue who he was! I figured someone in the band invited him. I am oblivious sometimes! Lol. It’s a long story but he wasn’t supposed to be there!
What is your scariest road story? woke up next to a few of them haha
What are your thoughts about the current music business in general? It is alot harder to make a living being a musician because everyone shares your music on the internet so you lose alot of album sales, but its alot easier to get your name out there and be heard because of the internet
Where do you see your music career in 10 years? I’ll continue playing music until they plant me in the ground, so we are gonna still be rockin
In one word, why are you in a music career? WOMEN…just kidding, ‘Id say passion
