Zack Rosicka
From humble beginnings at a young age, family and friends knew Zack Rosicka was destined for something great. He was a very energetic kid and always became the focal point of any occasion with his charm and charismatic demeanor. From baseball, basketball, to skate boarding he was a natural, always pushing the boundary of possibility. As the years passed, “Something was missing.” There was more in store for the 12 year old than he ever knew, when his grandfather gave him a cd of someone named Stevie Ray Vaughan. “As I started listening, I was blown away. I immediately ran and got my father to listen with me and I replied, this is what I am going to do.” The following year he received his first guitar before his 13th birthday. “I just never put it down, it became my release and outlet.”
Shortly after he turned 14 Zack began going to the local blues jam and within months, he joined a local band and was playing professionally within a year of picking up the guitar! He was not just good; he was playing with local legends and more than holding his own. After playing in many groups, he founded a group that soon would be opening up for the likes of ZZ Top, Trace Atkins, Jimmy Wayne, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Double Trouble, Joe Bonamassa and various other International acts. While building his reputation six years passed. He took all he had learned and decided he was ready to start his own project. He moved back to his hometown of Destin, Florida and formed the Zack Rosicka Band. In less than six months his band was ready and they started gigging all over the gulf coast. Within a year they where traveling.
